Community-focused partnership solidifies commitment to the Baltimore region.
PRNewswire Ravens fans can keep repping “The Bank” for years to come, as M&T Bank (NYSE: MTB) and the Baltimore Ravens have announced their partnership extension through the 2037 season. Over the past two decades, these two organizations have been incredibly thrilled to continue their mission in serving the Baltimore community! Their collaboration has grown immensely over this period, and they are still just as passionate and committed as ever.
Since kickin’ off their partnership on May 6, 2003, M&T and the Ravens have been unstoppable, working together with local leaders to make a real difference in Charm City. This extension means even more investments in financial education programs for Greater Baltimore students each year. Plus, the deal keeps one of the longest-running stadium naming rights in the NFL intact.
The financial deets of the new agreement are hush-hush, but what’s clear is the shared values between M&T and the Ravens. Augie Chiasera, M&T Bank’s regional prez for Greater Baltimore, said, “We take a lot of pride in seeing the M&T Bank name on our football team’s stadium. It’s a symbol of our commitment to serve the Baltimore community.”
This ain’t the first extension for these two; they locked in a 10-year extension back in 2014, which was set to expire after the 2027 season. Now, with five seasons left on that deal, the latest agreement keeps this dynamic duo together through 2037.
Steve Bisciotti, owner of the Ravens, expressed his immense contentment with their deep commitment that goes beyond the stadium’s name. They have impacted countless individuals and organizations with exceptional compassion, and I couldn’t be happier with our relationship.”
This partnership is not limited to just football, it’s also about giving something back to the community! In the last two decades, M&T Bank has generously donated above one million dollars to Ravens Foundation Inc. This money goes towards community development initiatives like new educational spaces, Ravens-themed playgrounds and grants for nonprofit organizations, making a difference in so many people’s lives. M&T and Ravens employees have also volunteered together on projects like neighborhood beautification, food drives, and playground construction.
Francesco Lagutaine, M&T Bank’s chief marketing officer, explained, “Our partnership with the Baltimore Ravens is not simply about name recognition. It’s about connecting with the Baltimore community in meaningful ways that improve the lives of our neighbors.”
